| | Gorillaz - Feel Good Inc. | ] | So, I'm almost done with a week of classes. Guess how many I've had so far. 2. I'm not talking just two classes that have met multiple times; I'm saying I have spent two 1 1/2 periods sitting through class. My schedule is so freakin open.
What more. I tried out for jazz band. Didn't make it in. Oh well, I don't have hard feelings. It is good in the long run because now I can eat dinner at night, have time in winter term to write my capstone paper, and not have a crotchety, old man swearing at me. Anyway, there are two sax players coming in that blow the pants off me in jazz, so I say more power to them; hope they make the program strong.
I am raking in big cash. For this last week and the next two weeks I have 7 two-hour desk shifts. Ontop of that I get a stipend for Campus Ministries and hours for doing band staff work. I definitly have enough to buy a tenor sax and maybe an ipod too.
Speaking of Campus Ministries, we had our annual beginning of the year retreat at the monestary last week. It was uber cool to get to know the people I didn't and just hear how everyone's summers have gone. The Marilyn/Brill team unfortunately got dealt better cards than the Priggie/Buck team in eucher. Our theme for the year is "Be nonconformist - be transformed". The shirts will be gray baseball shirts with red sleeves and have 5 stick figures on the front; one of them a different color and dancing. The back will have Romans 12:2 writen out and Augustana Campus Ministries writen below.
Started working out. All part of my new year - new habits thing. I lifted alone Tuesday, but did a fairly good workout; don't want to strain myself by jumping in too fast. This morning, Cliff and I lifted together and he helped spot me and give me tips on lifting. I'm trying to do at least a mile of running on the tredmill as well to get the cardio going. I can already feel my muscles getting sore so I know I will be in pain tomorrow.
Saxophone studio class today was odd. I don't think I like the new professor. He tries to be funny, but he fails. He talks about things that nobody understands because we haven't studied it before. I do like how he structured his grading system and expectations though. I guess I will just have to adjust to him over time.
Oo, since I didn't make jazz band, I tried out for the play yesterday. The Importance of Being Ernest. I don't think Doc Scott will cast me because I think he has some notion that I am irresposible. Who knows. If not, I have one last shot by doing Opera. Pfautz usually gets me in somehow because he likes me. I wouldn't get a huge role (nor do I want one), but I usually get some utility part (wierd accent or dialect, comic relief, random soloist in the chorus, etc).
Last night there was a hall program to get the first years to bond a little; a barbeque (surprise, surprise). It went way better than anyone expected. There were at least 40 people there at one time. I intended to just go out and have a brat or something and go, but I was asked to watch some burgers for a second and somehow got roped into cooking food for the whole event. I didn't care much for the not-going-to-bed-till-1:30am part, but I got to meet some really cool guys and have a good time. I regret the burgers though because I woke up with really bad heartburn.
Catholic Student Group tonight with ice cream. Alpha Psi Omega at 10. Campus Ministries first-year campout tomorrow night. It's mucky outside. Have a good weekend everyone and eat lots of cottage cheese. |

At first glance, your 3rd paragraph looked like "raking in big cash ... something something ... sex," leading me naturally to the conclusion that you had become a male prostitute. Is there any truth to these rumors? ;)
Ooh! How much for one night, sexeh? *waggles eyebrows*
No charge for first timers. I must warn you, it is addicting.
And how much for a night or two AND a spiffy Campus Ministries T-shirt? ;)
No charge for the first; second night is $20; and shirt is free upon third servicing.
Roll up! Roll up! He's practically giving it away, folks! Never been a better deal! Line forms to the right, ladies - now don't shove, don't shove!...
Lady's please, there is plenty of Steve to go around.
No, there is not enough. I want you to myself, you studmuffin. *purrs*
Sounds doable. Just who is servicing whom in this situation, my little honey bunches of oats? Further, does the shirt come first or after other things?
You sound doable. I think I'd be servicing you if I'm getting the money.
You can have the shirt first, that is, if you plan to use it for our little engagement under the covers ;p
Good. It's about time for that thousand mile service dealyo.
ooo...Kinky. :) | |
